Statement

People capture moments with photos. My obsession is capturing moments on canvas, the journeys, transitions, the whimsy of it all. My method combines images into a new reality. My style is a colorful graphic abstraction.

Biography

Inky’s artistic process begins with the desire to capture a feeling, an experience, a reaction to the domesticity of her situation. As a youth her father encouraged her to explore her artistic talents. With a keen desire to expand her artistic knowledge along with her desire to teach that art is accessible she received a degree in commercial art and art degrees in art education/fine art. Using these skills she was awarded the opportunity to combine her design for Guitarmania with The Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame with school children in Cleveland. This experience brought to life her belief of accessibility to art for all. Her work has been in juried exhibitions in Ohio, North Carolina, and California. Step into her studio on any day and she is juggling multiple ideas for new canvases about new journeys, transitions, or perhaps a whimsical ride.
